Nedu Wazobia’s estranged wife, Uzoma Ohiri, has replied him after he accused her of having a child for another man while she was still his wife. Recall that she called him out yesterday and accused him of domestic violence while they were married. She said that he beat her up weeks after she had a cesarean operation.  However, Nedu denied the allegation of domestic violence but revealed that their marriage crashed in 2018, because of many issues and infidelity on her part. He said he carried a DNA test on all three children they had at the time and that the test showed he isn’t the biological father of their first son, even though he was born while they were still married.  Uzoma took to Instagram to accept that she had a child for another man but accused Nedu of bigamy, marrying another spouse while still married.   Gunmen suspected to be bandits, on Saturday night, attacked the country home of a member of Katsina State House of Assembly representing Bakori Constituency, Dr. Ibrahim Kurami. The country house is located at the lawmaker’s village, Kurami, Bakori Local Government Area of the state. Residents noted that the gunmen stormed the house at 9 p.m , shortly after Muslims night prayers and shot at a member of the First Aid Group of Islam met at the main gate. The victim sustained injuries from the gunshots and was later rushed to a hospital for treatment. The gunmen thereafter abducted two of the lawmaker’s children and his wife,  The PUNCH was told. Residents said the whereabouts of the trio were still unknown as of Sunday when this report is filed. The annual traditional Zulu Reed Dance has taken place virtually for the second time in a row as a result of COVID-19 in South Africa. Only 37 maidens were invited to participate in a scaled-down ceremony (to commemorate 37 years of the festival) at the Zulu monarch’s royal palace in northern KwaZulu-Natal, on Saturday. The new Zulu monarch, King Misuzulu KaZwelithini, is commemorating the role that his parents have played in upholding the traditional Reed Dance. Both his parents died of Covid related illnesses earlier in 2021.  The maidens lit candles in memory of the late King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekizulu and Queen Manthombi Ka-Sobhuza Zulu. The Royal Reed Dance is an annual event which aims to celebrate and unify the Zulu nation as well as honouring the nation's virgin maidens. In light of the HIV/AIDS pandemic, this cultural practise hopes to curb this epidemic by promoting a culture of respect for young women who, vow to remain virgins until marriage.
